Philadelphia has just lost a brilliant musician.

ROBERT HAZARD was a legend and a friend to the Philadelphia music scene. Best known for his song, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” made famous by Cyndi Lauper, and recently picked up by Miley Cyrus, Robert provided hope for up and coming Philly artists.

However, his music and his career were worth much, much more than just one song. I was lucky to have the honor of playing with him.

Robert passed away on Tuesday, unexpectedly.

He will be missed, but his music will live on forever.

Well, as some as you know, our little town is right in the path of where Hurricane Gustav is expected to hit. I wasn’t to concerned yesterday, as it was only a Category 1 with winds of 80 mph, however, I got up this  morning and it is now a Category 3 with winds up to 125 mph. Am I concerned now? Yes I am.
