Philadelphia has just lost a brilliant musician.

ROBERT HAZARD was a legend and a friend to the Philadelphia music scene. Best known for his song, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” made famous by Cyndi Lauper, and recently picked up by Miley Cyrus, Robert provided hope for up and coming Philly artists.

However, his music and his career were worth much, much more than just one song. I was lucky to have the honor of playing with him.

Robert passed away on Tuesday, unexpectedly.

He will be missed, but his music will live on forever.

Robyn Chachula (aka Crochet by Faye), is one of the most gifted crochet designers out there right now. Her eye for modern fashion paired with her background as a structural engineer, gives her garments amazing structure, impeccable fit, and absolute wearability. I can attest to all three of those qualities personally, as I wore (& loved) her Vera sweater (which she designed for my upcoming Pop Goes Crochet) on both, holiday ad spots for the DIY Network and during the Knitty Gritty Knitsters special.
